Scheduling

Scheduling Struggles

Good morning fellow readers. So as a single mom of 3 children, whom all have their own things going on, sometimes I struggle with getting the schedules to work. Lol. My 4 and 6 year olds were supposed to have baseball games this past Monday but were switched to Thursday due to field conditions. Doesn’t sound too bad though, right? Well, here is the problem. My oldest also has physical therapy that same day at 4pm. Again, games are at 6pm so would have an hour to get them there. So again not too bad, we have done that before. The part that hurts us though is the two youngest go to Kid Camp. Thursday’s are the day that they go on field trips and this Thursday they are not due back until 4:30pm. Soooo I have a couple of options. 1. I could leave work early to get my oldest and then go to the field trip to pick up the littles early. Mind you they would be sooo mad at me for that. Lol. 2. I could try to take oldest to his appointment and make it back by 5:30pm to pick up the littles before the daycare closes. 3. Take oldest to appointment, come back to pick up the littles, then go back to get the oldest from appointment and then back for the games. That would be a lot of driving back and forth since locations are half hour apart. 4. My last option is to see about changing the appointment so nobody is rushing, and the littles can enjoy their entire field trip and make it to the games on time. As of right now, I am leaning more towards changing the appointment because Thursday is also my birthday. Might sound a little selfish, but I would like to be able to spend the time I have with the kids instead of running round. I am sure I am not the only one that struggles with this, even if you’re not a single mom/dad. Those that have multiple kids, still have to figure out everyone’s schedule and see how to make it happen. We do what we do for our kids, right? If there is a will, there is a way. All we need to do as parents, is try to make the best of it because it will all work out in the end. Feel free to comment if you have some of the same struggles or if you don’t. Let us know what works for you.
